How are the hospitals, clinics and medical service quality in Turkey?

Turkey has social welfare system and this system offers free health service to all citizens. Turkey has 80 million population so health system must be organized and must be work well.  Therefore All hospitals, clinics and medical services must be accredited Turkish Ministry of Health and they regularly audited by the government.

Medical university and Dentistry education has high standards in Turkey. According to Times Higher Education (THE)” research, 22 Turkish Medical University ranked in the best 750 medical university in the world.  

Turkey has 126 Medical Universities and 99 Dentistry Faculties as of 2022 at the international standards. Each year 14.000 thousand Medical Students and 7.500 Dentistry students graduated from their universities.

Medical studies require a long study period in Turkey. Students must take an exam to enroll the medical universities in Turkey. Those schools always attracts to most eligible students. Medical schools have 6 years basic education period. (5 years at Dentistry). To be specialist doctor in a specific medical branch requires to pass another exam and study another 3-6 years. This time period changes according to type of medical branch.

All medical universities have their own hospital and students can do their internship at these hospital during last 2 years of their education and their specialist doctor education period.

At the end, medical service, hospital, clinics, dentist and doctors quality is far beyond the many developed countries.
